The University operates a number of allowances and premiums, some of which require authorisation by the Reward Team.

A number of allowances are increased on implementation of pay uplifts. In the majority of cases no action is required by departments to amend allowances as allowances are automatically uplifted when University salary scales are increased in accordance with agreed national pay uplifts.
