Health & Safety Self Assurance Toolkit

Who should attend?

This course is aimed at those persons involved in completing the Health and Safety Self Assurance Toolkit. In the majority of cases this will be the Departmental Safety Officer. The seminar may also interest Heads of Department, as it explains the process by which departments undertake an assessment of their health and safety performance.

Course Details

The University has introduced an online toolkit so that departments can assess the effectiveness of their health and safety management systems. Departments are expected to complete the self assurance toolkit on an annual basis.

Departmental Safety Officers (DSO) will be asked to complete the self assurance toolkit between August and September this year. The online toolkit includes supporting information and guidance to help DSOs complete the questionnaire. However, this seminar is aimed at supporting DSOs by providing further guidance, along with an opportunity to ask questions regarding its completion.
